Good day!

My wifes 2006 mazda 6 (2.3L with a manual) has some interesting issues going on.

First off, it is NOT throwing a code for any of this.

The car will not run through the rpm range smoothly, and sometimes not at all.

It will sometimes act fine for anywhere between 5 minutes and 45 minutes. Then it shuts off and will NOT restart.

I tried a new cam position sensor (very cheap and easy).

I took the fuel pump apart to see if it was gummed up. It looked brand new (it is original).

Where should I start looking?

Any help is appreciated!

If possible data log to see what is going on during the failure. Is there an alarm on the car?

There is no security system on the car.

I should mention that this car was bought brand new by my wife and she has owned it since new.

No water in tank. It was drained and filled with fresh.

I'll check out that eBay link. Thanks!
