Go. You were already planning on going. Drive down, hang out, take pictures, drink beers, get branded as a Hong. Sounds like a good weekend.

You should go collect your hard luck award in person. It sounds like there's going to be a helluva good time what with Mr. Shovel taking nut punches,Fastclown taking an azzkicking,Dollraves driving the Exxon Valdez from California and a Hurricane skirting the coast. The stars have aligned to make this one memorable, you shouldnt miss it on a technicality. You're only young once.
You're welcome to take a run or two in the e28 if you decide to come anyway...speaking of which - oh crap, I gotta leave.
I dunno, maybe if there's a hard-luck award... No one said anything about an award...
Edit: Can't get anyone to codrive, and I can't afford a plane ticket.
We just rolled into savannah for the night. Southern food and culture for us silly yanks.
Too bad to hear about the breakdowns and blow ups; there but for the grace of god...
Planning on gettin to gainsville mid afternoon tomorrow. Good luck everyone.

Case of redbull, Pandora pushed from the phone to the stereo, windows down, foot down. Problem solved
We're heeeere...and the Challenger is filthy!!
If you have a hose and some soap I'd love to borrow it!

so sack up and drive solo! you know, I used to think pretty highly of the Texas A&M team...
i'm kidding, of course. hard luck got that name for a reason. but as fun as the challenge is when you've got a car, i'd argue that it's more enjoyable overall without a car. i've been there three times without my own car, and each year is better than before.
I really wish I could make it, but it's too far and too expensive for me to drive solo. It was hard enough for me to afford the trip with 4 other people (we pay out of pocket), and there's no way I can swing it by myself. Looks like I'm sitting this one out this year.

one exit south from the hotel, go west from the off ramp, tower rd or 75th st.(can't remember what the street sign says, should be the first light off the interstate) go left, first light go left, first driveway go left, BIG car wash, self serve is on the left, open 24 hours. noticing a trend here?
Unevolved, THAT SUCKS !!!
But let me be the first to compliment you on the fine block paint job. If it looks good under camera flash, you're a better man than me.
Go to Florida, drink beer, swap lies, swing a banana hammock.
You'll feel better.
Dear Abby.

Finally got to a real computer instead of a phone, trying to resend that item now.

I would offer you the use of a hose and some soap, but your car would prob look worse after dealing with my driveway. Even on a trailer, with all this rain, most of it is under water. Our poor miata is almost dirt colored.
FINALLY made it to the host hotel with the rest of Team External Combustion! Our tow rig is a little hurt, but we made it. So we not only will be thrashing on our Challenge vehicles, we will also be trying to fix our way home too.
3:30 am and I'm getting ready to roll out. The drive down I95 from Maryland looks like it's going to be pretty miserable...but, we'll just take it slow. See everyone down there!
Got everything on the list about 1/2 done. Time to nap for a few and start back at it in the daylight. One of the teammates is crashing on the couch so he doesn't waste time commuting home. This last minute build stuff is tiring.
Well... it's almost a good thing i had to bail out...
Split my gas tank at the seam yesterday.
Road construction here SUCKS.
