Okay for those who don't know On August 23rd, OVR is hosting this years national challenge event for rallycross if anyone loves a 2 day rallycross and a fun party on Saturday night, you should not miss this event. Especially MR class. It seems we have a large contingent of GRM members for this class, and lets try and recruit others too.

I will be there LATE Friday night, passing out then waking up and unloading in the AM.
I'll be there Saturday only. 1st and probably only rallycross of the year for me.

I'm in for both days!
The idea of coming up Friday night is intriguing to me actually. I just might do that.

I'm there both days, and a friend in Gahanna (nearby) has a place to crash overnight, bonus! Ready to have my ass handed to me in SA and hopefully get to see many cars/drivers I've never seen.
Last time it was at ohio i drove up friday no problem.
i have hobo pie makers and a a campire tripod grille.
There is literally nothing aroundnthere but a gas station and a subway bring what you need for the weekend.

I'm going to do the thing where I arrive and drive without changing tires thing.
Because that worked so well before... (mainly I am lazy and don't like changing tires)
we'll be there around dinnertime Friday if the tow isn't too slow, and running both days (me and Nick in my car and Josh (bluej) in his car). The Golden brothers (SA) are coming up to, but not sure what their ETA is. They won't want to wait up for the towing party, lol.
Upon arrival, I'm expecting it'll be booze and hot tub at the hotel, in that order.
shall we all coordinate Saturday and wear our GRM shirts?

Pffft that's normal on any given Saturday, especially rallycross.

If I had one, yes.
and what is this hotel/hot tub you speak of? too rich for my blood. its gonna be about $200 in gas to tow there and back + racing.

Rallycross is more about team showers than hot tubs.

I've got a solar shower that gets pretty hot, but that probably isn't exactly the same thing...
ditto on the solar shower

Last I saw they were in Orion's truck. I used some to keep bent trailer safety chains from falling off the hitch.

that's why 3 of us are splitting a room. $70 per person for 2 night, lol. I'd pay that much just to get my morning showers (by myself). Also why I'm bringing a co-driver to split the towing gas!

Well, see, if you were camping and not hotel-ing, you might hear the Team Showers story at the saturday night BS session...

Is anyone planning on camping out at the site on Friday night as opposed to taking the easy way out at a hotel? I don't really wanna be the only guy out there, sleeping in my van in the middle of a field... I do have all the free candy you can eat, though!

I plan on sleeping in my own bed Friday night and waking up around 7 to drive the 30 minutes to the site.

I didn't say we wouldn't hang out at the site in the evening and throw some down. I just said I'll be sleeping in a real bed once we're done doing that
