Anyone else already working on the $2015 junk?
If furiously searching the list of craigs counts, then yes. I have no idea how Im going to make it happen; between SWMBO and other life stuffs, the chances of simple attendance alone are dubious...a participating vehicle is even moreso. That said, My FIL has been helping me break the proverbial ice on the missus front, so perhaps there are cracks in her armor that can be exploited. Time will tell.
Purchasing a welder, and learning the black art behind wielding its dark magic are high on the priority list.

My pleasure! It is often surprising what kind of results you can get just by asking nicely.
Also, it is often surprising whose contact info you can get with a little checking around. I am sure nobody minds that I have tried to tease some action out of several well known personalities and pro drivers... not really expecting much action but I think that we should all at least ask.
I will keep working on spreading the word when I have the opportunity but I am no PR expert; I need help so all of you get to work!

Going to look at cars today, I might need to tag along at the next flea market.
Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown. 6am-2pm.
Back from the FM. Off the the junk yard. It was 28 this morning. Warmed up to 36. Hope you guys down south appreciate the effort some of northerners put in . I know you got some high temps in the summer we don't deal with as often. But steel parts at 28 degrees is dedication or insanity. Not sure which.
Got a plan to cut a few more tenth's of my 1/4 mile, just have to figure out how to get it into the budget. Nice to have 11 months to shop for new wheels too.
Kreitz Flea Market is 11/29. We leave at 4:15am if anyone is coming along. Dress warm. This one is always frigid.
Bump for the flea market invite tomorrow.
Hey Andy, I think I'll head out to Kreitz tomorrow. Not gonna be leaving at 4am, but early-ish. I'll give you a call when I get there, or just keep an eye out for ya.
Thanks to tb's seed planting, I think I'll be attending the $2015 Challenge. I've got this '73 VW Bug thats been sitting in my driveway, rusting away, for years. This'll give me an excuse to do something with it!

I've been overseas since the weekend after the $2014 Challenge, so no wrenching on the car for next year yet. But I'm actively planning and researching, as well as ebay shopping, so I guess that counts as starting my build!!

It was 20 when we left. Normally 20 doesn't slow me down, but it was a cold 20 yesterday. Pick up a few items. Came home a bent roll bar tubing in the snow once it warmed up to 33.
Just plain old fashion TUFF.
I may purchase a fellow forum member's car for challenge money in a few months. I will need to research to make sure which mods can still stay in the challenge amount.
