So how did the Parking Lot Build do in the final standings?
If I recall Jeremy correctly he said, "I ruined a perfectly good truck."
The truck ended up being too low and finished poorly.
Details?
The parking lot build is one of my favorite things ( cause of the pure audacity of the effort) from the Challenge and this year the build was kinda under-reported.
Sorry, I got distracted by the fact my car didn't have a water pump or power steering and I was the main one taking pictures.
The car finished in 34th I believe. The car would bottom out or the wheel would hit the inside fender from being too low to the ground on the autocross so transitions were difficult making it finish at the back of the pack. The car ran a 16.7 in the 1/4 which isn't too bad for a stock full sized truck.
I'd like to know if the overall diameter of the stock tires vs the corvette wheels and tires. Maybe it had a little to do with it being too low.

Easy peasy.
1.) Befriend the ever likeable Jeremy (pimpm3).
2.) Commit yourself to indentured servituDE to working on his parking lot build.
3.) Book flight to Jacksonville for red eye arrival on thursday morning. Departure Sunday afternoon.
4.) Done.
Seriously I'm sure if you wanted to fly into Gainesville someone would be happy to pick you up. Only get there early enough that the beer drinking hasn't started. Lol
Yes we ruined a perfectly good truck.
It ended up being entirely to low in the back. It bottomed out everywhere. The front 17x9.5 wheels were too wide and rubbed the control arms at any thing greater that about 40% of the stock steering input. On top of that it took way longer to install the suspension than it should have. The brakes are terrible, we had a heck of a time bleeding them after installing the spindles. The soft pedal would stop the truck but it was less than confidence inspiring.
I want to thank everyone who participated and lent a hand in this endeavor. This would not have been possible without the help of all the regular suspects and the new comers who helped out.
I would say this was my least successful parking lot build...
It should be for sale shortly if anyone is in need of an ill handling, too low, plasti-dipped c1500
In reply to pimpm3 :
That sounds like some pretty easy fixes for cheap for whoever buys it. Big spacers up front, hack the fenders out of the way. Jack up the rear a couple inches and call it good.
