A small awd wagon interests me far more then the flood of suv's out there.
Found a nicely equipped,low'ish mileage sportswagon all motion lease takeover.
8 months left and zero chance of me going over the mileage limit,so I could have an extended test drive with a wholesale buyout.
Long term is VW a red flag?
My Mark 7.5 GTI has had two issues in the time I've owned it. A dead LED interior trim strip. And a sqeuaky sunroof. Otherwise it's been fabulous.
I wouldn't be too afraid at all.
I like 'em, they are past the dreaded oil consumption years.
Buy a corolla hatch 6MT and put snow tires on it

Fwd with blizzacks in northern ontario canada is fine most of the time...awd with blizzacks is fine all the time.
Wife dailys a fwd Vibe...its not enough space for stuff so replacing it with a corolla hatch is simply more of the same but newer,no awd and more $$
