Since Jerry put up the Ohio region schedule, here's the DC Schedule. More events than usual this year, plus two test days. $500 for a season subscription that covers all of it.
This year's big thing: MR class. In addition to the dozen or so regulars returning from last year, we'll have Andy Thomas (PF champion) and Mike Golden (SA former champion) jumping into MR in a new-to-them MR2. Then we have a couple autocrossers coming to the dark side in a new-to-them M52-powered 318ti. And rumor has it that multiple PR/MR class winner Shawn Roberts is moving his Miata (presumably along with Katie) to MR this year as well. All told, we could have a regular 15-20 car MR battle royale.
Blue Subarus are so last year :)
Anyhow, here's the schedule.
Also a change in DC: Due to some issues with farming tax regulations,, we will not be running at the Rally Farm for this season (hopefully back next season), so at this point most or all of DC's events will move back to Summit Point Motorsports Park, where we used to run back in the day. Apparently the State Department contract on the land we used to use (which kicked us out), is now up so the land is available for us again. Summit had some great courses and we hope to get them going again!
Come out and join us. Or don't. Because if you don't, that means we get more runs....
3/10/17 Test Day
3/11/18 Event 1
4/8/18 Event 2
5/6/18 Event 3
6/10/18 Event 4
7/7 - 7/8/18 Event 5 Rally Farm Double
8/25/18 Drivers School/Test Day
8/26/18 Event 6
9/23/18 Event 7
10/21/18 Event 8
11/18/18 Event 9
I may be out spinning wheel on the wrong end of the car by summer.
I swapped out my track suspension and tires for some more rally friendly bits and I'll be checking out some events with DC and Susquehanna.

Any word on WDCR/AHR yet? It sounded like there was going to be a season this year.
In reply to RevRico :
I haven't heard anything from Corey about AHR yet. He did say he planned to run more DC events this year, but not sure if that has anything to do with AHR events or not. AHR is totally separate from WDCR.
Are there any toll roads south of D.C heading to Catlett Va. ?
Paul
In reply to Donebrokeit :
Depends on where you are coming from, but VA border south on 95 its only the EZ pass lanes if you FEEL like paying lol.
In reply to Donebrokeit :
No, you can come from I-95 or I-66, both of which are free (unless you're in the HOT lanes). From there its all backroads and such.
This just now from AHR FB page:
We have a schedule in the works and some exciting additions to the AHR series for 2018. More info soon!

Awesome. They got 2 autocross dates this year, so I'm hoping that make up for it with these DC region joint ventures in rally cross.
100 miles onto the ranger, and I'm saying it's good. I might want to do the wheel bearing first, but should be a fun toy on course.
Summit Point shortens up my drive and its a place I've been wanting to visit, both for pavement and dirt action.

I need to go buy another Toyota of some sort- it'll be just like old times!

oh COME ON. I just put the rallyx car up for sale because there was nothing local worth doing. And I want a tow vehicle.
Now I want to keep the car AND buy a tow vehicle and my wife is going to kill me. From my recollection of summit years ago, it would be very well suited to a Miata with power.

The rank and file folks that run the place there are great bunch of people, and the motorsports director Chris White has been upgrading the facilities and the programs. You owe it to yourself to check it out.
Oooooo.... I'm moving to Penn State in mid April and might have to hit up a few of your events! Might have to move from PR to MR too. :P
Hmm. SP move things away from us, but I really want to try and make one or more of these for the competition.
Is there supposed to be an East Coast Nationals type event this year?
In reply to ProDarwin :
I would assume so, but not sure where it is. We've hosted it for the last two years (first at Frostburg and then at Rally Farm), so if another region has the ability to host it, I'd guess they'd let them (new england region has huge turnouts). That said, with Summit back and multiple courses available plus lots of paddock space, gas on premesis, etc.....I wouldn't be surprised if we did it again

All events will be at a way less muddy Somerset County Fairground in Meyersdale, PA. We know what to expect with the venue and surface now, and we're confident this venue will make for some fun, quick, and interesting courses.
First event is coming up fast! Put it on your calendars, and please join us if you can. Rental cars are available. Registration link and Facebook event will be posted early next week.

BERK YEA. Now I get to see if they'll let me run the ranger there.
In reply to RevRico :
I hope they do. I don't see why they wouldn't. The last Ranger I saw at a rally cross was 2wd, though. Can you get that truck down to 2wd ride height?
In reply to snailmont5oh :
Not easily. But it's only an inch taller than the Wagoneer that ran last year in Maryland. I didn't make it to meyersdale when we were there last season, but I can't imagine much difference in fairground layout.
Of course if I could get the trans fixed on the P71, it's an option as well that has proven its faster than I am.

I just want to say: props for the graphic design & theme here. I love it. So well done. Makes me want to make the 6 hour drive to an event.
