the new 70 is fantastic and manual trans with v8 diesel is my jam. It'll never make economic sense in this country.

$55k starting MSRP even before the Adjusted Market Value crap is a lot, but it has pretty much everything I want in a rig in that base price. I may like this more than the Bronco. This is how you do retro the right way.
This begs the question: is the 4Runner sticking around in a world full of smaller Land Cruisers?
The least they could do is show it with some actual all-terrain tires in these photoshopped off-road publicity photos though, lol...
I did not care for the Bronco when it came out, I thought the design was trying too hard to harken back to what it was. Same with the FJ, I thought it was trying too hard. This is just right.
