Purchased on January 20, 2025. Hit 10k yesterday on the way home. So I pulled over and took a pic for posterity.
My thoughts on ownership. I really love this little trucklet. It gets better MPG as a DD than my 2013 Mazda 2. And it can tow (25 MPG while doing it too).
It's comfortable, powerful enough, and serves many functions in our household. Need to take the dogs for grooming? Yup. Need a load of crushed stone for the garden? I got you. Want to go for a fun drive up and over the App Gap. No problem.
Tomorrow I will do the 10k service. Oil and filter change, check and top up the fluids, rotate the tires, inspect the brakes/steering/suspension. Easy peasy.
I've mostly been running in ECO mode. The MPG just keeps getting better. Occasionally I'll try SPORT mode. But NORMAL mode is more than adequate.
A few dislikes? The touch screen controls for the heat and fan. I really don't want to take my eyes off the road for such a simple task. Airflow through the HVAC vents could be more balanced. You can't take the tailgate off all the way because there is no easily accessed disconnect for the wiring harness from the body to the gate.
It's a quiet ride, the seat and steering wheel adjustments allow you to find an easy seating position, and the view out is great.
I really like the color (Velocity Blue).
It's the best sedan Ford makes. Sure the trunk is wide open but it's no smaller than the trunk my Dad's LTD had in the '70s. I want to get a cap for it.
