They could have been sandbagging, but 4WD is still an advantage in the wet.
9 cars were on the lead lap at the end though.

We will see if it works for Proton to extend the stops, maybe a yellow card at the right time could help.
It has been live on motortrend on my cable. I think I get motortrend as part of my base package but not sure.
Some genuine drama there- a privateer Ferrari beat the works team AND prevented Penske from winning. Let alone, it was Robert Kubica winning the race on an epic stint to finish the race.
And there was some real drama in LMP2 as the leader got a driver through, gave up the lead, and the car that then took the lead had a mechanical problem.
They barely talked about the GT class this morning.
Even though I was rooting for underdog teams, you have to respect Ferrari and Porsche for their efforts and their long history of success at Le Mans.

Yes. My wife and I were joking that Ferrari F1 should hire the privateer team, as they had the strategy, prep, and support to put the team ahead of the "factory" showing.
Yeah, that was epic when Af Corse beat Ferrari AF Corse...it's the same team, one just has Ferrari money supporting it and the other private money.
Glad to see Kubica get the win with his teammates, epic to go three and a half hours to finish with Kevin Estre just 12 seconds back. I think they had the pace to cover the #6 without pushing too hard but one mistake like we saw the 50 car make in the last hour and he would've been under a lot of pressure.
It was really nice to see a race run that way too, no BS cautions that go on forever for nothing. Neutralize/Slow the cars to make the track safe, clear off the incident and then as soon as possible back to green flag racing with the gaps all mostly the same, only send out the Safety car(s) when really needed. We still had the top 4 covered by roughly 30 seconds in final hour of the race with nothing guaranteed. I should make more of an effort to follow WEC, IMSA (Nascar) feels like pro wrestling in comparison.
