So he has no records of the car getting a timing belt, and the right rear caliper is leaking a little. Do I need to get a timing belt on it ASAP? And for the caliper I saw rock lists a rebuild kit but didn't look to see if it's front or rear. Mileage is 177,000 so I know it's had to have gotten one lol.

It's almost due for its 3rd belt, or 2nd if its a California car, so just do it. Better safe than sorry.

It's a non interference engine, so no huge problem if it goes.

This ^^^^ update AAA coverage . . . drive til the opportunity to update presents itself. The leaking caliper, however, is a priority item.

Do the timing belt because walking and/or waiting for a tow sucks. On calipers, remans are usually so cheap rebuilding isn't worth it.

$300 AND it runs at the moment with a title?! I would already be sleeping on couch for purchasing it.

It's due for a timing belt at 180k. Just change it. Breaking a timing belt won't ruin your engine, but it'll ruin your day.

Another question, I found the original window sticker for my car. It says it has a torsen with a 5 speed. I thought they all had a 6 speed gear box. Also when I went to buy brake pads the guy asked if it had a sport package and told me the brakes are different if it does.
