Some comments on another thread about the atrocious factory suspension geometry got me thinking, so I'm looking for advice.

Any good ideas for improvements? What are some of the things that you don't like? If the budget is limited but the creativity is not, how would you make one corner on pavement? Dirt?

I have my own ideas, but would like to hear yours.

Add negative camber. Lower car. Stiffer springs, shocks and sway bars. Wider wheels with good tires.

I'm in the same boat what with the Tracer(GTX). I've pretty much done everything iceracer stated. To gain negative camber, I slotted the the bolt holes on the struts. I currently have about -2.5* on all corners but will likely dial it in for a better set up. FWIW, I'm using an old set of Protege5 Teins with spacers to fit the GTX knuckles.

Furthermore the steering arms on the GTX knuckles sit high in relation to the hub center and can adversely affect bump steer when the car is lowered. To gain an inch or so of correction, I've found that the front knuckles from any other non-GTX BF chassis 323 and Mercury Capri has a lower steering arm. It's a direct swap.
