Pure awesome. At first I thought the price was a typo but then I took a closer look.
A dream car. If I had $25K burning a hole in my bank account, I'd think long and hard about it...
Unfortunately, getting a bank to give me a $25K loan for a 2000 BMW wagon would be a hard sell...
Yeah, I found this a week or so ago. I think that they are still stretching at that price. I asked where the work was done and I never got a response. Its a dealer that nows nothing about the car.

Agreed. While I'm sure it cost a fair bit more than that to build, swap cars like this are always a tough sell. It looks well done, but I'd definitely want a few months of sorting time before commiting to be a DD.
So, you've got a high mileage BMW wagon with a TMU title. That should be worth about $2500K to an average car dealer.
On the other hand, you've got the coolest M3 wagon in the world. That might be worth $25K.
I would think the real value is somewhere in between.
Stock e46 M3s need 18" wheels to clear the disks/calipers, unless spacers and/or wheels with crazy offsets are used. I would trade the 19"s on my competition package M3 for 17s or 18s in a heartbeat if they would clear the brakes, and my research in this area is what leads me to believe the 17s on this car may be troublesome, or that the brakes may be non-standard. Not saying its impossible, just saying buyer beware.
This car is being flipped. It was for sale by the owner/ builder for quite some time on various BMW boards as well a eBay. I was pretty serious about but couldn't get the seller down below $20k. Another member here previously offered $18k. Seller wouldn't take that either.
I think it finally sold via a different eBay auction. This dealer bought it and has it priced ~$6-$7k over what they paid for it.
Oh my. I thought this was the E30 M3/touring that was making the rounds a few weeks ago, from that possibly-shady Russian dude.
This...this is different. Matter of fact, I don't think I needed to know this existed. I didn't even realize how much I needed one.
I'll be in my bunk.

Agreed. At that point it's in the realm of other e46 M3s. Having owned an e46 Touring, I would have loved the car even more with an S54!
Dangit.
Count me among those who didn't need to see this. I can't afford it (at all) but it has given me a serious case of project ideas.
Ah crap, I'm right down the road from this dealer. I bought my MS3 from their other location. Maybe a visit is in order?

Wrong......the coolest one is the only "real" one(its green).....that sat in BMW's M division garage......with the E30 truck, M3ti, and other oddballs that were deemed too big of a waste of money.

I prefer mine a little more vintagey than others
of course, whether or not a 4 banger can "haul ass" is relative based on your perspective on ass hauling (ahem, V-haters), so here is a wagon that in no uncertain terms is hauling ass
