That was lovely, thanks. Stories like these make up for a lot of icky sharp deal tales.
Some years ago I had a look at a defunct 930 that the ill friend-of-friend owner wouldn't let go for any reasonable amount. We parted friends and some years later, after he died his widow called. The car was way out of my league so I talked her through several local options and was glad to hear a deal was made by my favorites.
That car got a full bare-shell resto but, like this one, the first order of business when it was done was to give Elaine a ride.
