I see ZSD-424 as the engine, which according to a wiki page for Duratorq engines has that as a 2.4l I4, 99hp, 210 lb-ft.
Interestingly enough, searching for Ford Power Products does not bring up that particular engine. None of the distributors even have a 4 cyl diesel enigne- all are gas or natural gas.
So it must have been sourced from Europe for who ever bought it.
It's not going to move quickly, with 99hp.

They were using harnesses and ecu's from ford. I was told you give ford the numbers off the motor and they can sell you them.

Not yet. We've kicked around the idea of trying it but it will take some new injector drivers for the direct injection control, at the very least.

If you do, be aware that unlike normal PFI injectors, the different manufactuerers have different driver outputs. Total PITA. BUT, if you were going to start with one, Bosch seems to be more the mareket than Denso. And I don't know if the gas DI drivers are the same as diesel.
Injecting at 200-2000psi or 2000-20000 psi sure has changed things.
Many (maybe all) Diesel injectors use piezo technology, which requires higher voltages (>100-200V).
But unlike the solenoid type injectors, which are basically either fully open or fully closed, some of the piezo types can be modulated to control how much they are opened. This can allow for controlled longer duration fuel delivery, contributing to more efficient burn tha dumping it in all at once.
