Working on the Little Lamb-orghini last night (which looks a lot like an '86 Ford Escort L) and noticed a switch that I had once thought to be a reverse light switch near where the shifter shaft enters the transmission. It doesn't engage with reverse, it engages in 4th (4-speed manual). Whatever it went to originally is long since gone, but the switch remains. This is actually useful, as I am planning on controlling my rear engine's transmission manually and could use this switch (and another one or more like it) to "manually" put the automatic in the back into the same gear as the front.
But what was it for originally? And what would I call it to order another one just like it?
