this one was a total fabrication ... the front end sorta Falcon the rear defiantly Falcon .... the Roush monster under the lift off front clip... defiantly not Falcon...
like I said the CCR road race folk probably have some link to the owner..
Hey guys. I don't know too much about the car or the owner. Turn one motorsports should have his contact info from the track day. My buddy was his instructor and actually got to drive the car for part of a session.
The chassis was apparently car number 00 in Days of Thunder.
The motor is a mildly built Chevy with about 400hp backed up by a Muncie 4spd. Sounds wicked.
He had to take 5 inches of wheelbase out of the 55 body to make it fit. Took some out of multiple sections. Each front fender was made from 3 pieces. I think the same is true for the hood. He built it up over a period of 8 years.
The pictures have a weird perspective, the front fenders did not noticeably slope down in person. The car has quite a bit of rake to it.
