Holy crap, was that a dominating show by Truex. I figured his car was so good in the sun, it would have to fade in the night. Instead, he led 392 laps of a 400 lap race, and most of the laps he didn't lead were during pit sequences.
That is an impressive piece of preparation and teamwork there.
A couple of good cars got penalties and put them out of the running.
Logano was strong, then his pit crew got over anxious.
Edwards just simply screwed up.
I doubt either could have caught Truex anyway.

That was the most excited I've been to watch a race in a long time. I'm a big fan of the Truexs and it good to see him run like that. Once they started talking about how many laps he'd led I was waiting for something to come apart.
I thought they would lose the set up in the transitions from daylight to night but they nailed it, fantastic win for a single car team.

The 78 team had similar runs at Texas and Kansas but couldn't finish it off. Charlotte they finally nailed it. I was kinda waiting to see Harvick or Johnson make the move and drive by the 78, but it never happened. Would not have been good if Truex led all those laps and didn't win for the 3rd time this year.

You win races by putting yourself in position to win races, and he and his team have been doing that for a while now. Cool to see a relatively small-time team on par with the big boys.
They are a Gibbs team, so them dominating isn't really news.. they used to do better than the other Childress teams on a regular basis when they were affiliated with them.
