I have noticed that as time goes by there has been a shift away from the car related to off topic.  I guess as we get older we are more interested in one of our members building a cabin or putting up with bad neighbors in an HOA that tinkering on cars.

Cars are always what drew us to the forum. Off topic developed the comradery that made us stay.

That and as time goes by and you know more about cars, the less help you need diagnosing/fixing a problem because you already have experience.

But one would expect (or at least hope for) a steady flow of new people or existing people moving in a different direction.  There was another thread recently about the death of print media, is it because all of us older guys are dying off (figuratively or literally).

We could do a forum-contributed motorsports zine similar to the punk zines of the 90s..
