Pick up a computer from your local junk yard and swap them. You can thank me later..  :-)

I wish that was as easy done as said. From what I've read I need a 96-97 4.0 Cherokee PCM which is not rare, but only 2 years of the run and might also be bad. Also, the good junkyard is 60 miles from here which is difficult without a car. Might need to Turo

New computer didn't change anything. Poop.

I wish there was data logging on the stock ECU so I could just plug in a computer and see what's not happening. Dreaming, I know. I've been without a running car for a month now and I'm really going crazy. Hell, I've dreamed of buying a dune buggy, those make great snow vehicles right?

I called two local mechanics. One won't do electronic diagnosis and one won't touch a car older than 20 years. Weird. Time for a tow to Reno.

I was truly hoping it was some small thing that I missed. Sure enough...

The tech scoped both cam and crank sensors and found them to be fine thinking that would be the issue. He reinstalled the original ECM. Checked plugs and wires and verified continuity of wiring to the ECU. Turns out that the button in the dizzy cap broke off.

It's been a rollercoaster, these past 74 days. Thank the gods I have a running Jeep again.
