Where did I say I cared what I look like driving it?,I don't care about that but l if I'm paying for it with my money I do care about what it looks like when I'm on the outside looking back.

Probably where you alluded to caring about looking like a bandwagon jumping wannabe. That's not a phrase you can use to actually describe the looks of the car, but rather a perception of those around you.
If it's really about how you think the car itself looks, then i have no counterpoint.
I wanted to LOVE the frs and based on the pics from the 1st concepts making the auto show rounds years ago I did, does nothing for me in production form though-actually even less than nothing as its as UGLY as the new maxda family of uglyness and thats damn ugly just in case you missed how I felt.
"Looking" like a bandwagon jumping wannabe wasn't intended to actually mean "looking or apperance" but rather a general inclusion to the bulk of the buyers that buy solely for the purpose of "looking" cool to a select group of impressionable individuals.

But at least you get to drive something worth looking at,won't look like the latest wannabe jumping on the overhyped bandwagon and you can always upgrade the porsche if you desire a project.
OUCH...I have been Outed! Not only that, but I have to confess that I am a SERIAL wanabee: I stalked the Miata when it first came out and secured one of the first years models. Another loser car with a fatal mechanical flaw that was thorougly dissed by the experts such as yourself. I was stuck driving the jellybean hairdresser car for 13 years! The Shame of it! It IS a good thing that peole such as yourself exist to act as arbriters of style and good taste; it will serve to protect those less rash than myself from making mistakes!
As to the "Jumping on the badwagon" thing...You've got your english mixed up. The reason people "Jump on a bandwagon" is because it has some momentum going already, hence must be perceived as some kind of sucess story. The FRS is far from proven at this point. What you are dealing with at this stage are early adopters, and as such we will always get stuck with the teething problems for the platform in exchange for getting what we need in a car.
The irony is that if there ever was a poster child for the wanabee bandwagon pirate, Porshe, in ALL it's incarnations, would have to be the poster child for the breed. Not that there is a damn thing wrong with the car, but if you have no imagination, no real car skills and a healthy wallet, you buy a Porch and assume the rest will come with the tittle, or no one will notice!

Ok,glad you like it then.I'll keep driving my well modded E30 untill the caymen comes down to my affordablity level.Unlike those other Porsche posers I actually have quite a good imagination(building a composite bodied corolla with a sled carb'd and boosted 4ag,a scratch built autox toy and a mid engined awd geo metro ice racer quantify my imagination I think),my car skills are far better average with many championships in different cars/forms of motorsports but I have a thin wallet.I guess I'm the polar opposite of a typical porsche owner then.
I'll still wait for the day however.

One of the things that I have not warmed up to with this car is the endless need to be in some other gear rather than the one you are in. Turbo will just make this worse. With a LS swap and a 6 speed you could just leave the stick in 5th and call it a day.
Clearly no clue whatsoever about turbo motors and how they act.
Accelerated Performance has dyno'd 460whp on a stock motor'd BRZ so far...
Ran an 11.3 @ 127mph with 440whp.
So far it looks like the motor is made out of 100% Japanese WTF metal, like the Toyotas of old.

You sir are absolutely correct!
As alluded, I quit messing with them in the 80's when vital parts kept departing the cylinders at random times. As to lag... you could count to three before the lit fuse took effect. Fun yes, but of the type that wore thin after a while, kinda like Nitrous only instead of a new bottle you got a new engine.
Have not so much as driven a turbo since. At least that I am aware of. Some of the Euro rental cars might have been.

My 2 litre turbo engine has 350 BHP and 380 Tq and a flat torque curve from 2000-5000. And as close to zero lag as makes no difference.
Time to update your experience.
