While I do agree that we should N-ify all the things in Hyundai's lineup, I think I have a good reason why Hyundai should make an N Line version of the Santa Cruz (if not a full-blown N model): the Ford Maverick Lobo.

These are all great ideas, but...
Can we just get more low priced sports and sporty cars for enthusiasts to enjoy?
I still say there should be way more Santa Cruzes than F250s in line to pick up kids from daycare. Anything that helps spread the gospel of the efficiently-sized trucklet is okay by me. Cosigned.

When we sort out what we are doing with the fleet, a trucklet is on my list.
Right now we are looking at Class C RVs (I have a class B van now) but also looking at trailers. The trailer would mean a full size truck.
My Outback works great most of the time but there are times when we need a truck to carry larger shrubs or my motorcycle stuff.
I would love an N line Santa Cruz.

I second the motion.

Under $30,000. Maybe $25000? I can't afford a Corvette. But it would be nice to get it's baby sister.

GM failed last time - think this time will be better? 😂

You can barely get a new econobox for $25k these days.
If the LOBO came in manual it would have been very tough to choose between the Maverick and the Elantra N I ended up buying. But, since the Maverick is automatic only, it was an easy choice.
The Lobo is not eligible for SCCA autocross as it does not meet the height x width calculation. Wish they dropped it a bit more, or increased the track. I am sure Bell Tech will figure it out.
I was envisioning a Santa Cruz set up for mud bogging instead. To shut up people who claim it's not a real truck.
