I've been told that SOHC Honda motors are CCW rotataion and DOHC are CW rotation. What I want to know is are the bellhousings between the 2 compatable, or can I hook a SOHC motor to a DOHC trans?

It's not SOHC vs. DOHC - it's old vs. new. Old motors spin backwards. New one spin like every other car.

The K series is the CW motors if I remember correctly. Honda did this this all engines around the 2001 mark. They did the switch to allow sale of engines to other OEMs.
Okay then, but will a CCW motor bolt up to a CW transmission, that's what I'm really trying to fond out.

If it did, wouldn't you have 5 reverse gears and one forward?
