Been walking around SEMA and taking in the sights. There's a ridiculous amount of tucked and detailed engine bays around here. Thought I'd share a few of them.

wow, that is some insane stuff. I have to wonder though, how many of those actually run like that. There seems to be many items missing.
Is that a DOHC OS Giken L series head I spy?? ??? I have hunted far and wide for one of those within my price range.... alas, unicorn tears are expensive. For Datsun porn click this: Datto porno

Ooooh, I wanna play. Yes, that is an FD3S RX7. Yes, that is a turbocharged 4-rotor. Yes, that is a front differential tucked down in the corner. And, yes, that is a rocker arm-actuated inboard coilover suspension setup.
I know at the very least the evo motor (RS motors plug wire cover) not only runs but will be getting beaten like a rented mule immediately following SEMA at the Optima Ultimate Street Car Invitational event.
I do wonder how many of the other engines actually run in their as photographed state.

This is a reason I've considered it.

I know some of those guys. Ron and Co are good folks.

That one only gets more ridiculous as you peek around.
Any chance of getting some engine shots of the revology '66 gt350? Autoblog only had exterior, and I was curious what they did for front suspension and shock towers.
I've been in the industry for 10 years, and never made it SEMA.

This. The turbo hood-exiting exhaust shows an inside surface looking like it never ran.
Get some shots of the 32V LS motor! (not sure it is in any engine bays, but I understand there is one on display)

I'm not sure I get this reference.
Our issue is that our rallyx car has kind of a mess of hoses/wiring/brackets/etc. and when something goes wrong its difficult to figure out what it is. I'm not sure how much we can really remove without losing functionality though. Most of its there for a reason, and I'm not about to ditch A/C, power steering, etc. just to have a cleaner engine bay.

Sorry I don't know how to embed from faceplace but that thing sounds .... I don't even know a word that's fitting, it's just great.
