In my seemingly endless quest to sell one of the cheapest excursions in a 500 mile radius (seriously, how is it not sold?) I'm going to go look at an 04 Yukon XL soon as a trade.
Looks like it's just a bigger version of my old 99 Tahoe, is that a fair assessment?
Will it work the same, keep the fluids clean and it'll just run until it rusts away?
I believe they are quite different.
The 99 should have been GMT400 chassis with an old school small block engine.
The 04 will be GMT800 chassis with the LS engine.
A Yukon XL is a Suburban, so just a longer wheelbase Tahoe.
Is 04 before they started using cylinder deactivation? That just seems like something I'd want to avoid.

Dammit. I just did some looking, only 7 inches shorter and 1 inch more narrow than the excursion I want to shrink.
Guess I'm not going
Tahoe/Yukon is basically an SUV on a single cab/short bed truck frame.
Suburban/Yukon XL is basically an SUV on an extended cab/short bed or single cab/long bed truck frame.
So the 'burb/XL is basically GM's version of an Excursion, and the Tahoe/Yuke is GM's version of an Expedition.

Raise your price on the Excursion to not the lowest but bottom 1/3 in price then let someone bargain you down. I'd put it as 50/50 your first real offer is higher than you have it listed now. Delete your old ad and take new pictures for the new ad.

Up front maybe.
But out back: Wrong. The truck has leaf springs. The SUV's have coil springs and four link / track bar suspension.

I was making a size comparison. I know they're different these days in the back, but they used to be almost interchangeable.
In reply to Curtis73 (Forum Supporter) :
Suburban/Yukon XL = the Expedition EL/Maxx
Suburban 2500 was closer to Excursion in capabilities but still down on size.
Personal experience...
Excursions feel huge and cumbersome. Suburbans feel much smaller and are easier to drive (something about the GMT800 seating position just works for me) if you're looking to come way down in size I suppose it's the wrong move but if you want most of the Exclusions' usability in a much easier package go Suburban.

Sound advice because from all the asks if it's a diesel for $7k, I know nobody actually reads the ad.
But I kinda went all out in the pictures
I'll take any advice or suggestions I can get at this point.

I'm a southern guy so those pictures freak me out but maybe take some CLR to the front bumper? Don't know why that bothered me so much.
