Looking at Interstate Plastics, now.

Don't know how big you need?

Parts Express had the best price on 12x24" sheets of anywhere I could find last Spring. They've got 1/16" 3/32" & 1/8".

I need 24x48", unfortunately.

I've got a line out asking if any local dudes know of any place. Shipping is brutal on this sort of thing.

This place has a store in my town and they sell all sorts of plastic sheets. They've got a couple places in Indiana, but Im not sure if any of those are close to you.

Also: I'm sure these are on clipsandfasteners.com, but i have no idea what they're called.

The white insert thingies that take push pin things for door panels. I need those specifically, or something similar meant to take screws.

What are they called?

Check locally at a sign maker. They usually have that in stock.

What you did there, i see it.

Ok but i think i'm on the right track. I just need to find them that fit in the certain sized round holes that i'm working with.

I've seen something similar in the HELP! line of products at the local Oreillys/Autozone/etc. parts places.

sheets of plastic can be found wherever the local circle track guys buy their parts. they use a LOT of that stuff.. they will also have sheets of aluminum painted in various colors, too..

This is relevant to my interests...

I want to remove my aluminum door 'cards' and move them underneath the car as a skid plate, I haven't found any fabric that I want to replace them with but finding a big sheet of plastic would work.

Our local Lowe's actually has a section of automotive fasteners believe it or not. Nuts and bolts aisle.

I just saw some plexiglass at Home Depot in that size yesterday.

The push-in white plastic clips? I have a handful if you are using them for a Challenge effort that I'll let go for shipping, but honestly it might cost more than the "HELP!" cost.

Lowes here has plexiglass in sheets and will cut it to whatever size.

Odds are it can be found locally, up here you go the Alro steel foundry outlet store (they also deal in plastics). Wherever all the machine and general fab shops get their stock from will have it or be able to direct you to it.

It's a neat place. Figure it's not even an hour west of Daytona. You can see it from I-4.

We were planning on going down the west coast this time anyway. Everywhere we stopped on the east coast looked like they were about to film an episode of COPS and I imagine few things say "Rob Me" like a husky gentlemen in a silly little car with out of state plates.

If you come down the West Coast, you can hit Skycraft on your drive across the state. There's also some really good BBQ down the street.
