Forgot another car that was allegedly designed for rotary power from the get-go, and had to be changed over to piston engines when the motor wasn't ready. The Monza.

Next someone is going to say AMC Pacer...
(But wouldn't that have a certain irony to it?)

I want to say shut up and take my money, but something tells me I wouldn't have near enough...
I happen to know of a Cobra kit car currently under construction which will be 20B powered. The owner/builder already has a 13B powered Seven replica.
Somebody ought to swap a rotary into a Mark I Mazda 616 coupe! I bet nobody ever thought of THAT before!
I think we all know the obvious answer here is a Dacia Senderos.
Though I must agree with an exocet.

I have a crazy idea. Let's put a rotary in... an RX-7!
Well, it's crazy for here, anyway.
The Opel GT is an awesome idea!
What about small boat or PWC? Lots of cold water for an intercooler set up.

I have a bell housing for a rotary I/O somewhere, if someone wants it I'll keep an eye out.

I, too, love this idea.
I love it enough I actually started on one. Not terribly difficult to do. If anyone plans to do it, the biggest PITA will be having to get a big enough radiator in that tiny space. On mine it involved removing the brake booster and digging up a master cylinder to convert the thing to manual brakes.

That's easy:
-
Start with any FWD econobox you want.
-
Install a turbo 13B with transaxle behind the driver.
-
Remove the original FWD lump and replace it with the gas tank.
-
Presto, mid-engine madness with a dead-stock looking car...
-
(Optional) Leave the FWD lump in-place for extra points... and hey, you could smog it that way...
Best of all? Start with a Prias, pulling up alongside someone, "brrrr, brrrr, brrrr, brrrr..."
