My wife’s 2014 Accord (138k miles/4 cylinder/CVT) suddenly refused to stay running today. It starts like normal, but after about 1 second, the engine shuts off completely. It will restart, but does the same shut off deal over and over. I swapped batteries with the Civic (which has a brand new one in it), same result. Civic runs fine with Accord’s battery in it.
Up until now, the Accord has been completely flawless since brand new, and has all recommended maintenance items done to it.
Last refueling was about 75 miles ago, no issues noted since then until today’s events.
Thoughts ?
Is it throwing a code? Fuel pressure OK? My fuel pump in my GMC just died today. Would start and run for a couple seconds then die. Repeated several times until it just wouldn't start at all.

Both keys yielded the same result. Will start with looking at fuel pressure this morning.
Thanks guys!
Hard to think there's not a code thrown for this.

This. I'd also recommend getting it scanned. Even if it isn't throwing the CEL yet, there should be a code or dozen stored.
Anotehr thing to check is the intake manifold runner control motor. The Forte (First one) did something similar when that motor broke the plastic tab that controlled the runner length. It would keep running if you gave it gas though.
Massive air intake leak mayhap?

It’d have to be really big...
My vote is for a bad pump or plugged filter.
Should be direct injected.
Does it shut off or does it stall? That will point the direction you need to focus. (Does it shut off like you turned the key off, or does the engine stall but everything stays awake)
If it stalls, try unplugging the MAF. If the MAF failed, the computer may not see it dead long enough to fail it out before it stalls. (And since there is no fail, there's no codes) If you unplug it, that will fail it out immediately and it would stay running.
Have seen this happen a couple times after critters ate through the air filter, and then something lodged on the hot wire and damaged it.

Code was there. Throttle body gunked up like crazy. Guessing the computer compensated for it up to a point, then it got too bad that it said “no more”. Had a local indy place take care of it, because Christmas stuff going on.
