Is there any reason why I can't depressurize my new accusump, push the piston back, fill it with oil, close the valve and then pump it back up to pressure? Would be great to pre-oil the Busa after it has been sitting so long.

I can't come up with a good reason after a solid 15 seconds of thinking.

I have an Accusump that I use exactly that way for prelubing engines where I can't just spin the pump. You can stick a long rod in through the valve to push the piston back. Remember to include the amount of oil in the Accusump in your oil fill count so you don't end up with an over filled crankcase.

questions,

will this just fill up the oil filter ?

will the pressure  relief valve just dump the oil in the sump or is it the oter way around and it will point the oil towards the bearings ?

now its time for a Donut !

It depends on where the Accusump is plumbed into your oiling system. If it's after the oil filter then most likely no.

The accusump is plumbed into the main bear oil gallery. One of the benefits of a motorcycle engine is access to such things.
