Anyone have one of these yet? Thoughts thus far? I was at an Acura dealer yesterday following up on my Integra order and test drove one. The massaging seats and sound sytem seemed pretty cool but for $80k OTD on a Honda product I almost pooped my pants. Still thought it could be a cool family truckster so I'm curious if anyone who actually has one in their stable would recommend it?

I don't have any experience with the new Type-S. We have a 2015 SH-AWD MDX that is primarily driven by the wife. It is a perfectly fine vehicle.
But when people ask me about it, I say it is like oatmeal - it does the job just fine, but there is nothing spectacular about it. I don't know exactly how the Type S differs, but I find it hard to believe any modifications can transform such a vanilla vehicle into a sportscar. It is a big, bloated SUV. We enjoy ours as the road trip vehicle. But I would go through an entire dictionary of adjectives before I would get to "exciting." But maybe Acura has some magic up their sleeve.

hahaha that's kind of what i needed to hear. I am looking for a road trip vehicle though. My 2001 Sequoia is great for race weekends and hauling E36 M3 around but the bi-weekly 14 hour round trip I have to do to see my kids is brutal in the Sequoia. My only other ride at the moment is an S2000 and well that's not family friendly.
The Type-S I drove sold me on the massaging seats and sound system. The extra 75 or so HP also felt nice compared to a Odyssey I test drove back to back with it. I'm kicking myself for not buying the X3M I was lusting over and now they are impossible to find. The X3M was a rocketship that also hit a lot of the marks I wanted in a family truckster. Anyways I'm primarily looking for something to DD, road trip, and haul kids around that's got similar luxury features to my 01 Sequoia Limited but much more comfortable than the lift kit and off-road tires.
The Odyssey might be the best bang for the buck on this.
If you get a used x3 xdrive35i you can make it 400whp for $1500.
