I'm in the process of trying to remove the crusty headliner and carpet glue in an old VW. Can anyone suggest the best method for removing the glue? I am just going to prime and paint the interior so I can go to bare metal. I have an angle grinder and sander but both are electric. I have no air tools. I seem to remember a wire whee that could attach to a grinder, would that be the best?

Thanks

Cup wire wheel for your grinder. Make damn sure it is rated to spin that fast or use a drill.

It is what I used to do this:

Most any auto parts store should have 3M General Purpose Adhesive Remover on the shelf.  You can get it in a quart can, gallon can or aerosol.  You can also get it from Amazon or any number of online sources:  https://www.amazon.com/3m-adhesive-remover/s?k=3m+adhesive+remover
