Something I should be aware of, but just saw.  Anonima Lombarda Fabbrica Automobili turns 110 today, as it was formed on June 24, 1910.  It was not until Nicola Romeo took control in 1915, the name changed to Alfa Romeo in 1920.  So Alfa Romeo is 100 years old this year.

Good for Automotive Trivial Pursuit.

My father and later I did significant service work on this one over the years from 1950 until 1985. It now resides in the Simeone Museum. I got to drive it several times. Supercharged 1750 cc 6 cylinder. James Young coachwork. Darn quick and pleasant handling.

Nice to see Berkeley (The city, not the cars or the cuss-word) representing!

You were the one who told me about that cars and coffee when I first moved here and had nothing to do, so thanks! I've been enjoying it ever since.

I doubt that there's any more concentrated group of Alfa mechanics to be found in the states than  what you'll find in Berkeley:

Oliveria Engineering

Conrad Stevenson

Epifani Restorations

Hasselgren/Norman Racing

Eddins Moto

Or if you got really desperate you could always go to the Alfa dealership......

Of all of those, I've only known of Norman Racing, and John Norman.  Funny.  On the other hand, while wanering through SF many years ago (after a SoCal Convention, we walked into an Alfa shop- which I had never heard of.  So it happens.

For sure, California LOVES Alfas.

And 110 years later, they still build eye-achingly gorgeous cars for you to look at in the service bay of the dealership.
