I use aluminum lug nut on Tom Celica with 275 Hoosiers. Four lugs. If that doesn't kill them, you're going to be fine.

Oh, I torque them to 70 ft. lbs. My son, who didn't quite get how a torque wrench worked, did strip one once when he got a little heavy. Other than that I've never had an issue.

A friend used aluminum lugs on his Spec Miata and they were a real pain. Lots of aluminum came off on the stud threads and boogered them up. I don't remember if he was using anti-seize. They were all hand-started then torqued properly; not impact gun. David
Confident or not, you're incorrect. Aluminum lugs for 911's.
The one part on a Triumph Stag that has withstood the barrage of abuse thrown at the misunderstood marque is the aluminum lugs.
I run 949 aluminum lugs on my Miata track rat. No issues so far. I use an impact to take them off and put them on [with the proper torque stick and hand torqued afterwards, of course]. It has taken the finish off them, but they're fine, otherwise.
I have lots of friends who do the same. I've never seen any issues.

one thing to keep in mine ... is the difference in expansion due to heat ... steel lugs/aluminum lug nuts .. good idea to re-torque after each run

Do it right before the next run. Don't go tightening everything when it is scalding hot.

Wait, what?
You need to go back and read the hornet's nest thread before trusting his judgment.

And here I thought Dying was a Yes or No thing...
I do agree that Aluminum lug nuts should not kill you.. unless you forget to torque them down

I wasn't referring to after session .... that's a given ... I was meaning after each a-x run

Haven't you been paying attention to the Zombie warnings?
