ah, I just think Whistler-Blackcomb when I think BC......BC transposed in my mind with Vancouver, which of course is indeed more like Seattle :)

Think the cascade and Olympic mountains. Seattle gets less than a week of snow a year, and it doesn't stick much either. Also, we don't salt our roads so most cars are pretty good rust-wise. 36" of rain per year in Seattle area. Easily less than 10" annually east of mountains. It's definitely pretty mild here.
