It's been acting up in the Crosstrek a little lately, it just drops and I have to unplug/reconnect the USB cable.

Yesterday on the way to the middle of corn fields and unpainted county roads in W Liberty/Urbana OH for a 501st Legion troop, it cut out 3 times in an hour, and finally wouldn't stay running at all...

I just Googled and found a handful of people saying to make sure I'm using a good quality 3.0 cord.  I think I have a generic Amazon one from SWMBO at the moment, plan to replace tonight with the OEM cord.

Anyone else having issues, and was this the fix?

Update it to the latest version too. It just was released here in the last month or so. That helped my wife with her's. But yeah, a good cord helps a lot.

Yup step 1 is a quality cord. I like the Anker branded ones.

Yep, mine stopped cutting out when I used a stout Anker USB cord.

Mine stopped cutting out when I got a new phone and used the OEM cord.

Ditto, better cord fixed my connectivity issues. I still have troubles recieving calls - about 50% of the time when I pickup there's no audio (caller can't here me either). I can always call back with no issue, but receiving calls is a crap shoot for some reason.
