This time it’s a mid engine conversion to a Acura integra
Uh... I was going to Google engine/trans weights and figure out how much the weight bias changed, but that was going to be more effort than I cared to give. Anyway, I normally love swaps where a front engine, FWD gets converted to mid-RWD. I want to think this is cool, but it has to be terrible. I would love for someone to tell me why I'm wrong because I do want to like this, but I need to be convinced this time.
I'm sure it added a bunch of weight, but at least it's sorta in the middle.
Caddy 500s weight just a little bit more than a small block chevy, but not much. Swapping to an aluminum intake on a 500 puts it within a few pounds of a 350.
You've probably all seen the Caddywagen. Some kid welded the frame of a FWD El Dorado onto the back of his bug pan and welded the tie rod ends.
Pretty easy swap.
