I'm going to need a service manual for SanFord's organ donor. Are their any options beyond buying them? The printed set is over $200. I'll go that rout if I have to, but I'd love to have a set of PDFs for half that price or less.

Helm, Inc. prints the manuals, but they also sell them in CD-ROM format for less. http://www.helminc.com/helm/welcome_select_oem.asp?Style=helm
I suggest staying away from the cheap eBay CD's or downloaded PDF's. I have tried several and never been happy with them. I buy the original factory manual set used on eBay now.
I bought my Accord paper version for $90 eBay - barely used. New was $200. The guy that bought my Accord was pumped when he saw I had it - more confidence I took care of the car.
Never really used it - it's a Honda.
I also recommend eBay, but it may take awhile. I wanted factory service manuals for my 1990 E-series and it took awhile waiting for examples to be listed. I eventually bought 3 of the 4 before I sold the van. That said, they are some of the best manuals I've ever read and worth the effort. Compared to say, Bentley manuals for European cars, the Ford manuals seem to be written with the assumption the tech reading them will have less factory training.
All that said, I know many manufacturers/dealers have been trending away from paper manuals, so these seem to be an endangered species. If you do find a set, consider yourself fortunate and expect to pay for them (although you might get lucky).

I've got a full 3 volume set. Workshop Manual Volume 1 and 2 and the Wiring Diagrams. Good condition. Volume 2 is a little worn, but still serviceable.
$80 plus shipping ($13.60 Priority Flat Rate)
The Piratebay Manuals and programs.
If you get lucky, the electronic version of the OEM one might be floating around the internet somewhere. All of the 90s / early 2000s Jeep ones have been leaked in PDF form, for example.
You have to watch for those. The Miata ones are usually not OE (there's a difference between OE and OEM, BTW) but people think they are. They're from Alldata, I think, and nowhere near as good as the real stuff.
In reply to Keith Tanner:
Good point. In the case of the Jeep ones, they're the original Mopar manuals.
