Hoosier Classic on the oval at Lucas Oil Raceway today. Midgets, Sprints, and Silver Crown cars all racing tonight.
I'm not but, I wish I was.
My goodness, those big curbs certainly can do a number on a race car. And, I presume, the drivers lower back.

NASCAR has announced that that big orange rumble strip will be removed for the Cup race after the Xfinity cars looked like Trophy Trucks on the opening lap.
I'm watching the Cup race on DVD, and it has been fun.
If they have the same program next year, it might be worth a trip.
I've also never seen such a large piece of car stuffed under a curb.
And, five to go suggests the curbing will be redesigned next year.

Yeah NASCAR is lowering the bar to amateur hour there. Can't stay off curbs, which had already been moved following yesterday's race where they truly were an issue (but indycars avoided well enough), w/o wrecking. Crash 10 cars, remove more curbing, crash 5 more... 2nd place car takes the gran turismo route across the grass, punts the leader after being penalized, what a farce. Makes for good TV I guess.
