I have a lot to learn, I only have 3. However, this is at an apartment in the Boston area (1 car garage with no driveway and communal parking), so it's more than I should have.

I have 15 right now. It has been over 10 for years and years now. I think my highest number ever was 16. Im 28 and ive had right about 50 cars over the years.
I am trying to get myself to do the work to get the 3 cars that are parts cars torn down and scrapped. So i guess right now i ONLY have 12 that i actually want. lol
Getting to hoarder status, at least that's what they tell me. Though I am smart and spread the burden to other people's homes.
My house:
DD Jetta TDI- Works great
Canoe - counts as a boat!
Parent's House:
Honda ST-90 - Normally runs, currently doesnt
Grandma's House :
Mustang GT - Runs great, not registered/insured though
Friend's: 1986 Hobie 16 - works
1977 Whaler 15 - Just bought on Sunday, bought to resell
1977 Mitchell 15 - hull has a crack, motor is 06 and donor for boat below
At paint guy's:
1982 Whaler 15, fixing this thing up.
Of course, with 4 boats also comes with 4 trailers.
Alright, I don't feel so bad, most I've had at one time was 7. Currently down to 5. Thankfully I had the foresight to move into a community w/o an HOA
13 that were mine, 5 of dads, and grandpa left probably 20 to 25 more. Cleared most of em out now, and lost count.
Mitchell wrote: Of all of these vehicles, how many are registered? I can't imagine paying 20 renewels every year. Not that it's really expensive, rather, regardless of owning one car or 20, only one can be driven at a time.
A true carwhore has a dealer plate and a normally plated/insured DD or two.
2 '64 chryslers, '67 Valiant, '74 Plymouth van, '47 Farmall H, '43 International I-9. Several Go Karts, a cr@p ton of bicycles...
Oh and two DD's '11 Focus and an '03 GMC 15 pass van.
I'm on 2-1/2 acres in a rural area...and most of my neighbors have more crap in their yards than I do, so nobody complains

I tried to tell them.
We had 40 at one point- 38 cars, a car hauler, and a camper. That was before I took a new job and realized I couldn't move them all to the new job's location. Here's the old house (currently for sale, in SC):
I've since moved 12 and sold 12..I think. I sold 4 Corvairs all to one guy. it's hard to keep count.
At least 70-80 on 3.5 acres. The majority are in greenhouses, the neighbors don't like it, but it complies with the local ordinances. Most of them are my dad's, only 18 are mine.

...and a new entrant takes the lead
when I lived near thorntown I had 8acrs and 48 cars. i had to have a new rule 2 had to leave for every one that came home. But old habits don't die I now have 13 cars 2 flat trailers 1 enclosed ,box truck,4 riding mowers ,2 half cars (to be put together)
I still have my first car and my daughters first car. Both run enough to load.

Great, give me a goal to shoot for. I also live on 3.5 acres. Currently have 7 cars. 4 are in my garage (it's a 3 car garage, but they're all small cars, so I have one turned sideways in the back) and 3 are kept in the driveway. Always happy to add to the collection. I'm kind of biding my time until my kids get just a bit older. Between the cost of full time childcare and the time required for after school activities I have very limited time to work on projects and limited funds to add to the collection.
I'm surprised my neighbors haven't said anything yet. They're very nice people, but...they have 6 acres. It's two gentlemen living there. The house has been in home design magazines, everything inside of it is state of the art/custom/modern/style. Entire front yard (and it's big) done by a lawn service, huge flower garden in the back yard. Yeah, you get the picture. They'll love it when I put up some kind of a barn and stuff it full of old junkers.
Yeah, I think I could call myself a hoarder of both cars and boats.
Currently at the house (.5 acres): 03' Beetle Turbo S (if it belongs to the wife does it count?), '88 RX-7 vert, '67 Volvo 122S coupe (white), '87 Shelby Charger GLHS clone, '89 Honda Hawk GT, '77 Bronco, '94 Celica (Chumpcar), '84 Cressida, '67 122S wagon, Outlaw Modified (buddies, in shop), '02 F350 Dually, Nacra 5.5, Nacra 18sq, Hobie 16, Hobie 3.5, 22' Sea Ray, 18' open trailer, 10' lawn trailer, 10' enclosed (neighbors) - I think that makes 11 cars, 5 boats and 2 other trailers.
At work: '90 Supra turbo, '79 Mazda GLC shell, '66 Volvo 122s coupe (green), LS1 drivetrain (for aforementioned RX7) - 3 cars
At buddies boat yard: '80 GLC race car, 10' open car trailer
Sum total: 14 cars, 1 motorcycle, 5 boats & 3 trailers
Didn't we count "# of pistons" at some point?
I knew I was in amateur status, but 70-80?
My best was 3. Two 84 Camaro's and a 79 Dodge Lil Red Express truck, along with my roommate's Beretta.
7 at the house now, all except one running. 8 when the daughter is home from school. Plus one boat, one enclosed trailer, one flat trailer, one utility trailer and one trailer mounted generator. That's at the primary residence.
Two cars, another boat and three 1940s John Deere crawlers at the family farm.
Also a go kart, a golf cart and a mini bike in the garage.
Must be time to get rid of some stuff.

That doesn't include my cars that my drivers are using
You had to ask so I had to count! Only 17.......of them are Mustangs. 63 total with 3 motorcycles, 5 trailers, 4 go-karts, 3 scooters etc.
Just a tease shot of some.
Took a long time to get there.
Bruce
Myself, 6 acres in the sticks on a dead end road, ect.
Right now, 2 dead trucks, 1 dead bike, and 1 truck undergoing "long term repairs"(aka; berkeley working on it in the snow)
Every thing over the years,starting when we moved in in '96. (1)dodge diplomat, (2)dodge ram, (3)suzuki GS650G, (4)dodge neon, (5)plymoth acclaim, (6)honda accord, (7)ford explorer, (8)ford escort, (9)ford f-150.
At any 1 point, 4-5, I just cant remember when exactly some got parked and when other got hauled away.
