Got a line on full sets of brand new slicks for cheap.
Seller claimed compound was d1346. Also from the old hooters cup, but stored in climate controlled place since.
Anyone know what the compound is? Soft, hard, roadcourse....
Would be for the challenge car.

Go on the Hoosier website. They have a breakdown of the different tires/compounds.
Correct. But isn't it only applicable to hoosier? Goodyear information seems very hard to find on the Internet.
There are old websites pdf docs etc that show what specs, compounds etc. Google something like "Goodyear eagle sports car special compound specifications" and something should turn up.
I'm 99.44% sure that d code tires...i.e. d1436 connotations a drag race slick. Road racing tires usually had r compound annotations. R50 r60 r100 r450 etc....the higher the number the harder the compound. But that's what I recall from my racing days and keep in mind I'm stroke addled. LOL
Just confirm through an internet search that the D 1342 or whatever number is the model number of tire. It is a drag slick model. Compounds go from D1 to D6 with the higher the number the harder the compound. But the number you quoted is a modelfor a drag slick not a road or AX race Tire.
looking at a drag slick the edge is an edge. round track and RR tires round off at the edge.
