Wanted to get some numbers on my car, instead of rockin the painters tape look for the whole season. The local guy that used to do my vinyl work is no longer active, figured I'd try a place I found online. Just vinyl numbers. So I didn't do my normal research, and looks like I picked a place with a crappy reputation for poor service. At this point I have little hope I'll ever receive them. Too soon still to dispute with my bank.

Anybody have one they can recommend?

I bought my magnetic numbers from this seller in March. I'm pleased with the quality and the service.

Thanks, guys, I'm also going to check out the places in the back of the GRM magazine too. I'm also considering just getting my own vinyl cutter, I think I do enough work in various hobbies to justify it.

I'm grumpy enough to name names today though, just wish I had done a quick google before I placed my order. I would have found this ..... http://www.bbb.org/central-texas/business-reviews/decals/track-sculptures-in-austin-tx-1000104830/complaints

Any way to hint at the business/seller's name?

You're right, the BBB page doesn't really tell you the name. Though the list of complaints is pretty impressive.

The autocross chair of my region owns insignout.com I don't know if they ship, but how hard is it to put numbers in an envelope? Might be a little fancier than you're looking for, but he does good work

That looks to be the company behind the eBay store I linked. I'm happy.

I've bought from trackdecals.com, and it went okay, if a little slow. I wasn't in a rush, and I only ordered two of their smallest size track decals in white, so I wasn't really asking much of them.

How fast have you gone with them on? I like the convenience of magnetic, but I am going to need them to stay put at 100 mph.

This was done on Mactac, numbers printed individually on printer paper, traced, and cut out of Mactac. Yes, I spend $200 of my labour to save $10 on a $100 part I could have bought for $30.

I autocross, and haven't had any track days. The fastest was the time I left an event and forgot to take them off. That'd be 55, and only for about three minutes.

I bought from them, great experience, had them quickly, and IIRC got a hand written note saying they appreciate my business?

I got magnetics from them, wouldn't hesitate to use them again(and I will when I change classes).

I don't know if he's making a business of it, but jthwaite has helped me out with vinyl. He does a great job.

I did have a local guy I had been dealing with, but he decided he didn't want to do this kind of work anymore. Kinda hard to do much shopping in a town of 105 people. The only 3 businesses are the post office, gas station, and the bar/cafe.

But now that school is out I have a bit more ability to roam around without having to worry about beating the school bus home.

If you live somewhere that doesn't even have a grocery store, you must travel to a larger center occasionally.

You can also cut vinyl easily with an xacto knife. Good looking numbers are probably the easiest thing you can do on a race car.

I read the title thinking that you were talking about the place on your car not the place to get the numbers for your car.

I was expecting crash damage photos or somthing.
