Anyone able to run a Carfax?

Does anyone have a current carfax subscription? I would be forever grateful if anyone could run one for me.

Yeah I got read the riot act the last time I asked.

CARFAX is a must now and days, I almost bought a car with great service records, lots of new parts, ect. Ran a CARFAX and fouND it was totaled in 08, new title issued like 5 times in 4 different states. Buyer beware !!

If you are buying from a dealer, ask them for it.

I would not buy a car based on what is not on a Carfax tho.

I think I remember that. It might have been someone else. The gist of it was that they(carfax) search for people asking for runs. And then get all mad and do ...something... about people not paying for the service, or cutting off people who run them for others.

Not a dealer, and yes I totally agree, but I find it's a useful tool, like the accidents shown on this one were not mentioned in the add.

Not sure how accurate it is, but www.vehiclehistory.com is free. Heard about it on the Clark Howard show a couple of weeks ago, and he is legit.

I may be wrong on this but I remember Car Fax can and has come after websites that allow stuff like this to happen. And since the vin is in the thread they will know who ran it.
