Goofing around on Marketplace the last few weeks, this time just looking at MR2s and Miatas. I have a few saved but realized two of them are at the same fly by night dealership in KY, about 2hrs away.
The 2nd car had a photo of it next to what looked like the the 1st one. Sure enough, one ad mentioned Deans Auto Sales. Go to the website, both are listed. A 1996 and a 2002, both red, the '96 seems to have a few go-zoom additions like a rollbar and funky headlights (that I don't like and would replace).
The '96 says $7K and the 2002 says $5k, the 2002 interests me more at that price, and likely more stock. (Marketplace had the 2002 at $7500)
Before I invest in ~5hrs of driving, anyone local that feels like test driving two Answers? Mostly looking for obvious stuff like leaks, knocking, etc. I don't expect you to use a fine tooth comb.
The front end of the '96 looks like it was repainted, and judging by the lights, most likely due to an accident.
Despite what the listing says, the 2002 appears to be a non-ABS car. Make sure to check under the tupperware for rust... I would expect to find some considering the condition of stuff in the engine compartment.
