My Z4M has thrown a code more than once now, so I know it is a problem, but I can't find out what the code means anywhere. I've searched online, and nobody knows what the code means.

Rather than pay the dealer $100 to tell me, does anyone work at a BMW dealer or have access to All Data or anything to tell me what a P120D code is for a 2007 Z4M Coupe?

Actually, BMW's (and most other German cars) diagnostics are very unique. While it will throw basic codes (P120D in your case) with a basic OBD II transponder, it usually isn't that helpful. Instead, you can purchase a BMW specific cable (K+DCAN) and either download the software from someone on the forums, or buy it on eBay. Alternatively, you could take it to Indy shop, but don't take it to the $tealership. If you search for "BMW EDIPAS" and "BMW CARSOFT" you should be able to find your way.

Doesn't every BMW owner have a Peake code reader? They should.

A basic $85 or so Peake tool is a must have if you own Bimmer.
