Just use an old North Face

Dont take much - picked up a cheap HF socket set (if I lose something Im out cents...whole thing was 6 bucks or something), two screw drivers, and I carry one particular torx socket that I need to remove airbags from Toyotas (Husky).

Then some wet wipes, a bandana or cloth, small first aid kit, zip ties, and a strap I can put some parts on and strap to the bag or over my shoulder.

I like to keep it as light as possible.

And, of course, always carry water.

Ha, funny to see this thread.

I ended up with a pack from Custom Leather Craft, which I love and have used the hell out of. Only minor drawbacks are me not wanting to lay it down in the muck during the PNW rainy season, and the little front pocket, since redesigned, is kind of a pain to close.

Just noticed the price - not really GRM. Mine was a gift from my Special Lady Friend.

I think my chances of finding parts I want is inversely proportional to the amount of tools I bring. I think the next time I go I'll just bring a screwdriver, then I'll likely find an LS swapped Miata in the yard.
