As some of you know, my Fitech experience has been less than good. Wellm this year I have given up on the fantasy of the Fitech being a plug and play system that requires no EFI knowledge, and started loging data.  I will be honest, reading the excell sheet is a bit like rreading this

So, I set out a 10 mile loop that included some mixed surface roads with a return down the freeway. Overall, the drive was good with cruise mode seeming to be working very well.

What is still going on is that when I decelerate from a steady cruise, the engine wants to shut off as I come to a stop. The image is of a part of the drive where  come off a merge turn and drive a short distance to a stop . The engine dies briefly as I come to the intersection and slow down because of the light and I let the car re-start in gear.

Zero idea of where to start fixing this. I see all kinds of strange stuff going on.

Is decel fuel cut turned off? What is your idle control RPM?

I've installed multiple Fitech systems on customer cars.  My best advice is to cut your loses and find something else.  A Holley Terminator system if you can afford it, a carburetor if you can't.

Data rate is pretty slow- but it looks to me like decel fuel shut up, as Patientzero suggests.  Somewhere between 1650 and 1170, the fuel turns back on- and it looks both late and not enough.

Do you have a table to change the fuel map?  At that vacuum, increase it some - it's just not enough to get it to refire.

So that is three people now who have said the decel needs to be shut off. Will try that.

There is a Holly 670 Avenger sitting on the bench waiting for me to get tired of learning about EFI on a system that is advertised and not needing to know about EFI theory.
