I have an Xr4ti with a 302 in it, running a Holley 600dp carb.
I had an issue with fuel pressure, but have solved that. The car drives around fine, but I’ve never given it more than 30% throttle. Breaking in the clutch and flywheel setup.
Ive never touched the carb, and have no clue if it needs any adjustments.
If anyone is in the Charlotte or hickory area, and can help fine tune a carb. I can come to you. Trying to get it 100% mechanically sound, so I can drop it off and finally get this thing painted
There are a Bunch of GRMers in that 'Hood. Some are Old enuff to know what a Carb Is. I bet one will Offer soon. Just a Bump to Help.
I suck with carbs, but am willing to try.

I might take you up on that, as your buddy will end up painting it...
I'm not looking to squeeze every last ounce of power out of the car, just want to make sure it's running good...
Thanks!
I don't have much dp experience but an old carb guru taught me to set the idle mixture screws by hooking up a vacuum gauge, and adjust them until you just hit max vacuum. This also works to set timimg. This my not get you to "optimum", but every time I have used this method it gets it running good, assuming everything is working order.
As A Matter of Fact, You Do The Vacuum for the carb then set Timing again then do the Carb Then the Dist. again. Most probs. are with Tip In and Shooter size. A 600 is good for a 302 If It's like the Factory setting you should be Very Close. most mistakes are from fixin'em, so kinda a Less is more.
I'm in PA, but what's the problem?
The best thing you can do is get the book about how to fix and tune Holleys, from Holley. That keeps you from falling victim to misinformation.
