so my attempt at 'easily' replacing what i figured was a broken rubber clutch hit a kind of a big wall when i got the pressure plate apart, saw broken chunks of rubber, felt better for a minute then found one half of one of the 3 flat springs holding the steel plate cracked... it'll still function but i sure as hell dont want to do this job again for that reason.

i need the car off the lift tonight (sunday) for work tomorrow and i'd prefer to drive it out rather than wait for an ordered PP, but i'll buy a whole clutch kit at this point if it'll finish the job today. so anyone in the area have or know of a good, accessible 944 pressure plate? thanks!

My buddy in Carver has a garage full of 911 and 944 stuff. Pretty safe bet he has one. Give him a call. Here is a link to one of the ads he puts up on CL. http://boston.craigslist.org/sob/pts/4390467895.html
