Very much. My father, and uncle both had Loadstars for their 7up routes. If I had a bit of money to play with and it was closer that would be perfect with a pickup box on it.
I see those things around here and there (not that specific model, just retired work trucks from the 50s-70s) and think they'd be awesome with a steel flatbed. The first truck I ever drove was just that, really: a 1-ton dually, 4 speed w. granny low- grandpa's nursery farm truck. Wonder what happened to that thing...
Gas mileage? Pff. COOL mileage!
I have two uses for that truck...
1) stuff it with a hopped-up 12v cummins and use it as a tow-mule, or
2)
I have a buddy with a ~70(IIRC) International grain truck for $800. Runs/drives, needs a couple tires, but comes with a pair of good used tires.
