I might need a Lotus Elan quarter panel (easily fits in a wagon or SUV, but not a car trunk) picked up just north of Chicago, and taken to Eclectic Motorworks in Holland Michigan before the first of Oct. Anyone want to get some GRM swag, a bit of gas money and my eternal gratitude?
Crap. I could maybe do it, but not till the first week of October. Going to be on the west coast of Michigan for the better part of a week.
Would a Honda Fit be able to manage it?

Heading from Iowa to Grattan Raceway for a Motor City BMW CCA track weekend at the end of next week, but a Z4 Coupe is closer to a two seat toolbox than anything that could haul parts!
You might actually put out a notice to the event participants on motorsportreg.com and see if there's anyone starting in the Chicago area with more substantial transport.
Tim hasn't talked to me about this yet (probably because he's in England), but I assume he's wanting it brought to me at Eclectic Motorworks before I leave for the fall Hershey swap meet October 7. I'm meeting Tim and Rennie and the ramp truck at Hershey, so I'm assuming his plan is for me to get the quarter panel from one of you, bring it to Hershey, and for them to take it to GRM/CMS world headquarters from there.

Yes, Sorry Carl, just scheming, but I know you are heading to Hershey to meet us. I need to decide if the chunk I found is large enough, to solve my problem, and what a larger chunk and if a larger chunk is available before I pull the trigger. The quarter panel is in Prospect Heights, IL.
